Student Wellness and Success Annual Report is Open
House Bill 166, Ohio's budget bill, allocated $675 million in Student Wellness and Success dollars to Ohio's traditional school districts, community schools, joint vocational school districts and STEM schools. The bill specified three requirements for schools and districts receiving these funds:
Schools and district must implement programs and initiatives that align with at least one of 11 specified allowable uses;
Schools and districts must plan in partnership with at least one of eight community partner organizations; and
Schools and districts must complete a report detailing the planning and use of funds. Ohio’s budget bill requires the report be submitted to the Ohio Department of Education after the end of the fiscal year.
With the current fiscal year closing on June 30, superintendents and treasurers will have until July 31, 2020, to complete this report. The Ohio Department of Education is making the reporting tool available to superintendents and treasurers now to give them ample time to complete the report prior to the July 31 deadline. Recognizing the difficulties associated with COVID-19 and the ordered school-building closure, if districts find they need more time to complete the report, please reach out to WellnessandSuccess@education.ohio.gov.
